“I am 23 y/o and suffer from PCOS. I have been trying to conceive a child for 2 years now but haven’t had any success. How can the Sussex Downs Fertility Centre help me on my journey to conceive? Is IVF an option for me?”

If you suffer from PCOS, then you may need help with your fertility, but this does not have to mean IVF. There are other avenues for you to explore first before resorting to IVF.
You haven’t specified whether you or your partner already have a child but as you are only 23 you should be eligible for NHS funding for any treatment that you need (This is not the case if you or your partner already have a child).
Ideally, the GP should be your first port of call. If they feel that you need our services then he can refer you to us on the NHS. If you wanted to come and see us as a private patient, there are a full list of prices on the website.
In the first instance, you should just look at the cost of coming in for a consultation, as the prices vary depending on which treatment you would need and the consultant would discuss that with you during your appointment.
Another thing you could do is sign up for one of our open evenings. These are free of charge and would allow you to visit our centre and ask us any specific questions that you have.
Finally, I must add that at the time of writing, due to Covid-19 we are unable to start any new fertility treatments.
Please keep an eye on our website for further updates.
